So earlier this month it was my dad's birthday. He is very much so a handy man, and is great at fixing and creating things around the house. SO for his birthday it was only appropriate to get him a home depot gift card. To be honest if I don't get him something along those lines, he is one of the most difficult people to shop for! So I decide to make a little "tool" box to put his gift card in. I used retired Hodge podge hardware, the new log cabin smooch spritzer and real rust and close to cocoa cs.

Happy Birthday Cards
So this month it was two of my club members birthdays! I made up these two cards to give to them....Happy Birthday Theresa and Elaine!
I used the butterfly die cut and layered two of them together, one in So Saffron and the top one in chocolate chip. Added a bit of bling!
The paper is from the sweet pea DSP pack and the other colors on the card are whisper white, Sahara sand, taken with teal. and pumpkin pie grosgrain. Here is a close up of the butterfly! Thanks for stopping by!

April Club Sweet Pea
I think I can speak for most demos and stampers that we are going to really miss the sweet pea dsp! This stack of paper is amazing, honestly it seems to have something for everyone! If you don't like one side, you'll love the other! Here are the two options my group has this month. I made the tops of all the trees from our punches. Then hand cut templates for the bases, added a few embellishments, and you have a funky bright card good for so many occasions!

April 3-D club project
So I know I have been slacking a bit on posting! I hope that this won't be happening anymore. But in the world of having three kiddos, running a full time interior design business, having a husband and well eating and sleeping...sometimes other things take priority over stamping! I know it sounds crazy but it is true!
Anyways here is a picture of the 3-d project I will be teaching at my club tonight. I saw something similar to it on a blog...and do you think I have a clue which one it is? Nope! So I am so sorry to the original creator of this adorable bird in a nest! I used the chip board bird from On board So Tweet, The sweet pea dsp, chocolate chip and so saffron cs, and the Flower Folds die. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for stopping by!

Cards Class
Last week my mom and me had a cards class. We based all three cards around the vintage vogue set. Showing different styles/colors/and folds for each of the three cards. Here is the one I came up with for the class-I will post the other three on a different day! I really like this color combo-kraft,very vanilla, and soft suede.

Baby Zavian's Room
As you all probably know we welcomed our baby boy a few weeks ago. I have to say life with three is a little crazy, but in a good way:) If I just had an extra arm!
Anyways, here is a picture of the wall I decorated a bit in his room. I painted the tree in tan and added the stampin up owl out of current occasions mini. I had this cute wood piece that I wanted to put up so I added chocolate chip card stock, then a layer of tall tales dsp and applied our vinyl "Zz" to it. Added a bit of double stitched chocolate chip ribbon and there you go!

The kiddos
So I got these little tu-tu type skirts at the ninety-nine cent store a little while back. Who knew that they would be such a hit! (they are way more loved then the $25.00 ones I got at Gymboree!) Lately every morning when the girls get up they put them on right away! So here is a few pictures of them posing for the camera!

My girls room.
I love yellow. I don't think I have ever come across one I didn't like. So when we moved into our house last year and my husband didn't seem to big on the idea of our room being yellow...I decided next best thing would be the girls having a yellow room. So here are the accents I did.... I love this saying!

Thank yous!
So as you saw in a post a few weeks back, my stamper club had a little shower for me. I posted some pictures of the cute cards and bags they decorated for me! So now it is time to say thank you! Here are the cards I came up with. I absolutely think this monkey is one of the cutest stamps! I am crossing my fingers he comes back!!! The card is very simple, but between two little girls coming in my craft room and cutting up my perfectly good card stock, and a little boy wanting to eat every 1/2 hour...this is what I could handle today:)

Decor Elements
I love our decor elements. I have to say being an interior designer I wasn't huge on the idea at first. I had seen so many in the stores that I didn't like (and a few that I did) that I was worried they weren't going to look great. Well I fell in love with them! Here is a picture of my hallway, unfortunately since it is a hallway I couldn't get a good straight shot. I have a set of the chocolate chip Manhattan flowers and a set of kraft up. The kraft really appear as a water mark or tone on tone since my wall color is almost the same color. Here is a close up of the flowers, you can kind of see the kraft one in this picture!

Digital cards
I have always been a fan of those digital cards that you can purchase just about anywhere these days, I used to get mine of the girls all the time at picture people. Now it is great to be able to make my own! Here is a picture I turned into a digital card. It is all the cousins...my three and my sisters three on Easter. It is a tradition to put the baby ( or in this case babies) in the basket for the pictures...we now have all six kids pictures.

Fabric Banner
I friend of mine just had a little girl, she did the entire room in lady bugs, so I thought I would make her a banner with her daughters name. I used the big shot and dies to create the pendant and letters. Here is a close up of the A- The ladybug is cut from the scallop on the pendant die and a medium circle die, I hand cut the wings, and added buttons!

My Girls
So for our kids birthdays we always go and take pictures. Since Makai had just turned two, I wanted to get them done before Mr. Zavian arrived. That way we could spread out the "terrifying" experience that Makai is convinced picture taking is! So here is the main shot I chose of Makai. If you know my sassy little thing, you know this picture fits her personality perfectly! I just love those big brown eyes!!!
And if you know my little "model" Kamili, you know there was no way Makai was getting her picture taken and Kamili wasn't! So I got them both done. Look at my babies curls!! I would die for that hair!

April Challenge Card
So my mom won the challenge for the month last time around. She came up with the idea that for our next challenge we had to "copy" a card out of the current mini or catty but change the colors and change the set. I took the card from the front cover of the current mini, and came up with this spin on it! Some how I ended up wining the challenge. SO for next month the challenge is ....
Make your best card with Brown, Orange, Blue, and White OR Vanilla only. The card size must be 3x6 and can be any style fold.

Thank you SSS
This is the cute gift my secret sister gave me this month! I love this set and she did such a great job! I love how everything matches so perfect!
This picture does not do the cuteness of this justice, but I wanted to show off what she made for me. This is a picture of two onesies, one with a monkey and one with a fox. They are made from felt and hand sewn around. The larger monkey is on a blanket. They are SO cute and so well done! Thanks SSS!

Blog Candy!!!!
OK...so I took a few days off from blogging to spend with my new little one! I have to say, holding a brand new baby is one of the greatest things to do with your time! I am enjoying every minute of him.
But I figure since I have been a bit MIA I would kick it back off with a bit of blog candy...and actual candy :) Leave me a comment and I will enter you in the drawing. You will get this tin, decorated and filled with Hershey Kisses along with this frame I altered. Have a friend visit my blog and leave a comment(make sure they mention your name) and you will be entered again, and of course so will they. Make sure to leave your email so I can let you know if you won! Happy Blogging!
