Spooky Sign

So you know the cute bird albums that are on the clearnace rack? I had to make them into crows! Although my origanal intention was to put a ton of detail into it....well I didn't, but I still think it is cute! I covered the edge of each bird with black glitter, punched a hole in th bottom of each of them and lace our great new black lace through! With die cut letters from our Stampin Up! Halloween DSP. Here is the whole thing....

Parks and Rec Class Week 2

Here we go again! So here is the second set of cards that I made with my new Parks and Rec group. This one I made up...and just in time, I prepped it about 30 mins. before I had to leave:)
This next one was a convention make and take. This is such a great set and I love the way it blends on watercolor paper!

This pumpkin card is a take on a different convention make and take. I did a rock and roll technique on the pumpkin!

Parks and Rec Class Week 1

My Parks and Rec class started up again last Tuesday. I have to say I really enjoy this class, this time around it is almost all new faces.
As I did for the last two rounds we make three different cards for four consecutive weeks. If you live in the thousand oaks area and want to join me, visit my "up coming events" page at the top of my blog for more details and a link to register!

So here is the first card we made this time. As much as I am not a pink fan, I absolutely love hearts! So the set I {heart} hearts is a favorite of mine!

Next we made this butterfly card...and yes it is pink:) I know rarely do you see this color on my blog, but it happened! I try to have a variety of styles, colors and techniques.

So last but certainly not least, go figure a Halloween card! I am so in love with this set that you guys are probably gonna get sick of it :0 I cased all three of these cards(pretty much at least) from the stampin up catty or a past mini catty. They have such amazing projects in there! Hope you enjoy!

Spooky Bottle

I am so excited about Halloween!!! I LOVE decorating and making homemade gifts!!! I don't know if it is the colors, or the ravens and spider webs....but I think this is the best holiday for creating! So get ready for lots of Halloween to come!
Here is a bottle I decorated for a gift. I plan to fill it with Halloween M&Ms when I can find them in the store:)
I was itching to do some Halloween creating. I had hoped to do the Halloween challenge I set for the "crazy stampin ladies" but time got away from me. This bottle is very similar to what I had in mind for my card:)

Here is the close up showing the detail of glitter. I love black glitter! And how can you go wrong with orange striped tights!

Here is the full bottle. I am sure it will be even better with M&Ms.

And the cork. It needed the black rhinestones! With a sparkly bat!
So do you like it? If so join us for our Anything But a Card stamp Camp to make a similar project! Stay posted for more details!

Vegas!!!

So as I may (or may not) have mentioned my husband LOVES sports!!! Now I thought I loved sports until I met him...he brings it to a whole new level! I will never ask him to choose between me and sports, because I am afraid of what he might pick! :)
With that being said I am a huge Wisconsin Badger football fan...being that it is something we have in common we try to go to the games when they are on the West coast(which isn't very often). So here we are at the game! The stadium...12Th row.

The score...well the final was 41 to 21 Badgers!!!!

SSS gift to me!!!

So this weekend my up line had our monthly meeting. Since it was my anniversary my husband and I went to Vegas for a few days. When I got back my mom/up line had this cute gift for me from my SSS! I absolutely love it! The picture doesn't do it justice, as the leaves are three-tone with shimmer paint on top. And the candle smells yummy! Here is a close up of the detail. Thank you SSS for such a cute and thoughtful gift!!!

Flower Class Part 2

A few days ago I posted two of the projects we made at our flower class. Here are two more! This little tin had a paper carnation put on top that was made from the small scallop circle punch! I am not a pink girl, but this flower is adorable. This was my moms project-check out her blog to see more www.crazystampinglady.blogspot.com
The next project would be a cute teachers gift! Using the daisy bigz die for the petals, the 1 3/4" circle punch and the same itty bitty flower punch I used in my hydrangea tutorial, I came up with this sunflower!
Here is a better view of the dimension!

July Stamp Club

Last months stamp club was great! It was the last committed month for my current group...although I think they are almost all coming back next time! I am starting up a new group that begins the end of this month. If you are interested click on the "stamp club" page above. As I have mentioned before we make a 3-D project for one of our projects each month. This month we made a cute owl jar, this would be perfect for candy, buttons, or punched out images!

Next we make a 12 x12 scrap book page or...
a card. They are always similar in style. This BBQ set is perfect for scrap booking, invites or just a summer hello! It also has tailgating and picnic potential!

Parks and Rec Class Wk 8

So here is the last set of cards I made with my Parks and Rec Class! I had so much fun and I hope they join me again next round. This first card I got right from the catty. I love the set, colors, and style of this card. Clean and simple, but with a little extra detail
Here is a card we made with a level 1 hostess set. How cute are these cakes! The DSP and ribbon is retired, but all the colors are current

Then we made these two 3x3. I wanted to change it up a bit since we had always done standard size cards!

Hope you enjoy!

Parks and Rec Class Wk 7

So I realize I am a bit behind on my parks and rec card posting...sorry! So here is week 7 and tomorrow will be week 8. I have a new set of classes starting up September 14th. So if you live in the area...click on my Upcoming events page above, where you will find the link to register for upcoming classes. Here is one of the cards we made with 5th Ave Floral. This set can be funky and elegant. Although it is hard to tell, we did a bleaching technique in the yellow rose. In person it added a lot of dimension!

And all I can say is I LOVE THIS SET!!! It is so fun to stamp with, the images are clean and crisp! Such a perfect anything set!

Last but not least, my favorite of the three. This set is also truly amazing. It made my top five list in the catty!
