February Challenge Card

Happy Sunday! Well as most of you know every month for my moms downline meeting we have a card challenge. I was the lucky winner for the last one so I got to pick the challenge for the next time. So I decided on polka dots and bird theme. Here is what I came up with for my entry... You can't win the challenge on the month you pick it. But I still think it is fun to play along!
I used the new Sweetheart set that is not in the catty or mini, but a special promo from SU! the set coordinates great with the heart shaped sweet treat cups we have! And it has this cute little bird in it! I also used the bitty birthday for the words, our new polka dot embossing folder and a varrity of our buttons.

My little Hula Baby!

So my Baby is turning two! Ok so she isn't going to be my baby much longer, considering that I am due with our third child in just over a month, but when she turns two on March 7th, she will technically still be my baby!!!
So we are having a luau...yes in march! And here are the invites! Here are two of the birds up close. I markered them instead of water coloring to make them go a bit faster.

And here are the rest. I did 24 in all. I think they turned out cute. The coral and turquoise aren't really my thing...but once I did them I was glad I did! So for supplies...the stamp set I used is a retired SU! set called tickled pink. I love this set and have not been able to let it go! My mom actually bought it for me years ago, before I liked stamping much, just because I love birds and flamingos! Everything else is current...DSP is called Pink Flamingo, Card stock and main colors are Tempting Turquoise, Cameo Coral, and Whisper White. As I said I markered the Bird and flower in, then put crystal effects over the all the flowers on the flamingo and the one popped up in the corner! Hope you like it!~

Stamper Club February

Happy Monday! Tonight is my stampers club meeting. I always look forward to this night. I love the company and have so much fun stamping with the group! Here are the projects we will be making. As always they can pick a 12x12 scrap book page or a card plus everyone will be making a 3d project!

So I took the new Extra Large Flower Punch, stamped them with the large flower in the With All My Heart set and distressed them adding a center and leaf. For the background I used Close to Cocoa and Very Vanilla, distressed both with the spritzer and sponging, I then inked over one of the Elegant Trio Stencils with versa mark and heat embossed it. The colors I used for the flowers are Apricot Appeal, Barley Banana, and Certainly Celery.
Here is a up close look at the card.

And a closer look of the scrap book page.

For the 3d project...

I couldn't leave out St Patty's Day! I love the bright green and yellow combo! I used Garden Green and Summer Sun. The words are from Teeny Tiny Words and the rest of the stamps are from the Sweetheart Set. I used the heart shaped sweet treat cups and Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon.

Blue Yellow and White, continued!

Ok so I told you I liked this combo! I was all done with my "simple" get well card for my mom and looked down at these "left overs" and knew what I had to do! I took my white gel pen and colored the swirl on the butterfly from the beautiful wings embosslit. Everything else is the same supplies as my last post.

Thanks for the birthday wishes..a bit over due!

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! Here are some of the beautiful hand made cards I received! And a special thank you to my SSS. Here is the gift and card she made for me! The wooded purse had some beautiful earrings inside...I have been wearing them so they aren't in the picture:) Thank you again!

KISS

HI Everyone. Wow it has been an eventful week. Between my sister having a baby on Monday and my mom having surgery yesterday....there hasn't been enough time to even think! This week just flew by. So I combined somethings I wanted to do! Here is the card I made my mom for a get well. I am picking her up from the hospital today or tomorrow and will swing by Trader Joe's and get her some yellow roses to go with it...her favorite:) Anyways I wanted to do the Pals Paper Art Challenge as well, so I KISS-ed it! And for anyone who knows me THIS IS KEEP in IT SIMPLE SILLY! I did my best, I am just not great at minimal layers. But it was a quick card, it only took a few minutes to make. And what really counts is that I know my mom will like it! We were just talking about this color combo the other day!

It is a 5 1/4 sq card just perfect for SU! square envelopes. I used teeny tiny wishes for the get well, elements of style (new set we received free at leadership, but won't be released for sale until the summer mini catty) and the beautiful wings embosslit. The colors are summer sun, brilliant blue, ballet blue and whisper white....I think this may becoming one of my favorite combos. At least the yellow/blue/white theme! Look out crazy stampin ladies, I just thought of my next challenge...we will see if I can win one soon so that I can pick!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello Everyone! I absolutely love Valentine's Day! I think it is all the ♥♥♥hearts♥♥♥ because I {heart} hearts! The funny thing is I am NOT a pink person. At all! So for the most part I stick to the red in Valentine's Day!

So for the pictures...
I made the kids giant pixie sticks for Valentine's Day. Here are the four of them together...two are for my kids and two are for my niece and nephew. Simple, but cute, since the kids could care less about the decoration on it, they just want the candy!

Then I got a request from my husband...or maybe it was a request from me when he told me he was going to hallmark to buy 5 valentines day cards!!! I stepped in a volunteered my services(but I told him he still had to buy me one) So here they are! And up close you can see I used the new Chocolate chip epoxy brads, the medium jewelery tag punch, the full heart punch, layered on the scalloped heart embosslit cut out, the paper is Sending Love DSP, Card stock colors are chocolate chip, pretty in pink, real red, and very vanilla. The sets I used are I {heart} hearts, Tiny Tags and boho blossom background.
