Halloween Swaps

So a few weeks ago I was invited to participate in an organized swap. I usually don't do many swaps, I am just not a "mass producing" kinda girl. But I am trying to break out of my shell, so I thought I would go for it. As much as I NEVER want to see dazzling diamonds again(just kidding) I actually enjoyed this card. So here it is, I don't think the picture gives it justice:) The skeleton and "P" are fully glittered and popped up. The top black layer is a strip of basic black cs that I distressed to death and split into two layers, then "ruffled" it as I applied it to the card.
Here is a group of them together. Thanks for coming by!

Minnie Mouse Invites

So my little Kamili turns 5 this weekend! I can't believe I am going to have a kindergartener this year!!!! Well she LOVE Minnie mouse so that will be the theme of her party. I had to fight with the theme a bit, because the current Minnie is PINK! And well most of you know how I feel about pink, so I had to make it my own:) SO here are the invites.... I hand cut the bows from a retired paper pack, and used retire SU! ribbon as well. The cardstock is basic black, whisper white and real red. I punched the Minnie's out with two different sized punches and popped them up!

Here is the second page. I printed it off MDS and added a little Mickey stick on brad.

And here is the back of the invite. I was pretty happy with them. I'm starting to really love MDS! Be sure to check back to see pictures from the party! There will be lots of RED, BLACK and WHITE!!!

Well as I promised I was saving the best for last...

My dress. This project is the reason I decided to enter the contest. I got the idea while at the store when I saw jewelery holders in the shape of a dress. I thought it would be so cute to use it as an actual dress form, so I went home and that night while my little ones were in bed I started cutting. It actually came together pretty easily on the first try, but then came the flowers...those took a while:) And then had piecing all the pearls. I really enjoyed this project and hope you do as well.

Here is a closer picture of the details. The colors are pear pizazz, peach parfait, poppy parade and whisper white. Now be sure to hop over to Heather Klump's blog and see her projects, she is amazing!

Artisan Blog Hop day 9

Hi Everyone and welcome to your next stop on the 2011 artisan award blog hop! I am so excited to share with all of you the creations that were made for this award. There are ten stops on this hop, so be sure to make it full circle to see everyone's talent. If this is your first stop, then once you get back to me you have made it the whole way through. If thus isn't your first stop you should be coming from Sandra Farrell 's blog. Doesn't she have such amazing projects! I am a 3-D kind girl. My favorite two projects I did are by far my 3-D entries. Here is a picture of the necklace and box it went in. I have so much fun making this. I wanted it to be a three layer necklace so I started with a simply adorn chain and wove baja breeze seam binding through it, added a key charm and a few small pieces of ribbon. The next layer I took 5 plain wood beads, stamped them with a flourish from tiny tags, then "stained" two of them with crumb cake and three with soft suede, threaded them on our lace and tied a knot between. The last layer took the most time, I first I braided three strips of fabric together. Then I made a bunch of flowers out of our vanilla satin ribbon, colored a TON of pearls with a tan colored sharpie and added them to the center, then backed them with a piece of leather and attached it to the braid.

Here is a closer picture...

Thanks for coming by and make sure you stop by tomorrow , it's the last day of our blog hop and I saved the best for last!

If thus isn't your first stop you should be coming from Sandra Farrell 's blog.
She is so very talented!

So here is my last scrapbook page to share with you
My two favorite little girls! I had fun making this page, I absolutely love this DSP (now retired) even though it is a bit pink for me I fought through it:) I used my big shot for the letters, and ran the top layer through twice off setting it the second time through. This allowed me to have a "thinner" version of the letter so I could layer it and get an outline of the card stock behind.

Thanks for stopping by! We are almost to the end of the blog hop, but be sure to check back tomorrow as I am saving the best for last!!!

I hope you have enjoyed today's project from me. Now be sure to hop over to Heather Klump's blog and see her projects, she is very talented!

Artisan Blog Hop day 7

Hi Everyone and welcome to your next stop on the 2011 artisan award blog hop! I am so excited to share with all of you the creations that were made for this award. There are ten stops on this hop, so be sure to make it full circle to see everyone's talent. If this is your first stop, then once you get back to me you have made it the whole way through. If thus isn't your first stop you should be coming from Sandra Farrell 's blog. I am sure she had an amazing project to share with you.

Now for my second scrap book page...my little man

I have to say that this page is a lot better in person. Although you can see the page pretty well, what you aren't seeing is the 4 footballs that are inside the "shaker" part of the page. So basically this entire page is two layers, I cut the "frame" away from the Garden green cs so that you could see the layer behind-crumb cake, added A LOT of dimensional and 4 footballs. Since my favorite team is the Packers and we had held a Superbowl party this year I had some great pictures of Zavian with his cheese head on! Be sure to head over to Heather Klumps blog next.

Thanks for coming by and see you again tomorrow!

Here is my first of three scrapbook pages to share with you

Here is my first of 3 scrapbook pages. Although I like scrap booking it isn't necessarily my strong suit:) This is a picture of my oldest daughter Kamili. I literally had this page made and asked her to stand in the backyard so I could take this picture, quick printed it out on my computer, colored the flower in and attached it. Dropped her off at school and went to mail my projects off to stampin' up! so on this page3 I had taken the Petals punched out of the blossom petal builder punch and cut down each one to layer on top of the next. then I hand cut the stems and did the same with the leaves. I used tangerine tango, old olive, rich razzleberry, daffodil delight and early espresso cs. I hope you have enjoyed today's project from me. Now be sure to hop over to Heather Klump's blog and see her projects, her work will amaze you!

Thanks for coming by and see you again tomorrow!

Here is card number five...

Yellow being one of my favorite colors made making this card easier...which was good considering I had to make this card, and three other projects all within a few day period to send them in on time! This set is now retired, it was a level two hostess set that I used a lot. I usually don't like two step stamping but these flowers always turning out so nice! I did a rock-n-roll technique on the base layer of the flowers with more mustard and daffodil delight, then stamped the outline on early espresso. I hope you have enjoyed today's project from me. Now be sure to hop over to Heather Klump's blog and see her projects, she is very talented.

Artisan Blog Hop day 4

Welcome back to the 2011 artisan award blog hop! It is so exciting to share with all of you the creations that were made for this award. There are ten stops on this hop, so be sure to make it full circle to see everyone's talent. If this is your first stop, then once you get back to me you have made it the whole way through. If thus isn't your first stop you should be coming from Sandra Farrell 's blog. Aren't her projects stunning!

Here is my forth card to share with you

Being that I LOVE Halloween, having a Halloween card was a no brainer! I think this set~wicked cool is just adorable! The DSP is retired along with the bat that was punched out (this is actually a pop up card, but being that I cannot find ANY of the picture I took prior to sending in my entries, leaves me with what I could take at convention)

I embossed all of the images with black and the spooky and bats were sponged around with whisper white craft ink to give it an eerie look. The rosette edge was dipped into crystal effects then into black glitter. Be sure to check out my blog in the next months to come to see all the Halloween creations Ill come up with!

So now hop over to Heather Klump's blog and see her projects, she has some amazing projects to show off!

If thus isn't your first stop you should be coming from Sandra Farrell 's blog. She is very talented!

Here is my third card to share with you

I had fun with this card, this one was one of those sit down at your desk having NO IDEA in your mind what you are gonna do kinda cards! I tend to go for a larger base when I do my cards, so a square 5 1/4" card base gives me a good start! I used Marina Mist for my base with Bravo Burgundy as my next layer, then topped it off with a piece of paisley petals DSP that I ran through my big shot. Since this layer was larger then the image on the vintage wallpaper impression folder, I ended up lining it up and running it twice. Added a few colors from our distressing kit and some shimmer. The stamped images are from nature walk set and tiny tags~two of my favorite sets! Be sure to stop back tomorrow! And now hop over to Heather Klump's blog and see her projects, she is very talented!

Thanks for coming by!

I really enjoyed making this card. I absolutely love this heart (retired from our 2010-2011 holiday mini). It is hard to see the detail, but each of the flowers and leaves on the heart are cut out at least once, curled up and pieced back on the heart. The colors are Very Vanilla, cherry cobbler, and basic black. The DSP is also retired from the 2010-2011 catalog and idea book! Thanks for coming by to see my project, I hope you enjoyed it! This is one of the 5 cards I made. I used pink pirouette, Sahara sand and very vanilla for my color scheme, I have a hard time adding pink to my cards, so this one was a huge challenge! The main stamp set is a special breast cancer awareness set that is offered in our current summer mini catalog called strength and hope. The butterflies are all embossed in clear with the background two sponged over with Sahara sand. I hope you have enjoyed today's project from me.
