Just a few cards...

So I FINALLY put a card class back on my calendar.  It was so nice to be stamping with everyone again.  As usual we made three different cards styles, two of each design.  Here is what I came up with...
They are pretty clean and simple.  This first one we did a bit of watercoloring on.
I love the colors on this one.   Thanks Sarah for the inspiration!
This one was a bit different then my norm.  I usually don't do purple, but I had a few customers coming that love purple, so I went with it!

Back stampin'

So I've missed this....I have been slacking big time on the amount of blogging and creating I am doing. No excuses, but I was just burnt out.  Four kids, husband, house to keep up and an interior design business is no joke, especially if you want to do any of it well.  But I love this stuff.  I love creating, so I am back.

I made these cute little notebooks for note taking at convention.  These are the perfect quick and inexpensive gift for the first day of school teacher gift, or to say thank you or thinking of you!

I also made these coordinating treat bags to throw a few handmade cards in or someones favorite candy!  Use them together for a birthday gift!
I am turning a new leaf in this business and really hoping to see it grow.  I would love to have more time home with my kids.  I will have monthly drawing giveaways for my loyal customers.  Leave a comment, attend a class, bring/invite a friend to be a customer, sign up under me or place an order and you will be entered!

HELLO!!!!

So I know it has been a while, like a while, while. I needed a break, and even though I thought I would take a month off I guess I really meant 5!!!  But don't worry, I sure have been creating!  Just maybe a little different then before.
Almost 9 years ago, I decided to buy a Stampin' Up! starter kit....just to make a scrapbook for my soon to arrive daughter and well I fell in love.  I have always had an artistic side(I went to art school, do interior design for a living and I am yet to find something creative I don't like)  and for 7 years, although I have done other creative things, Stamping' Up! fulfilled that side of me.  I had won Artisan Award through them two years in a row and was able to be apart of the first Artisan Design team.  I got SO MUCH STUFF and did so many projects, and then I hit a wall.  I BIG FAT WALL. And well I sat in front of that wall until about a month ago when I realized I wasn't burt out on creating, I was burnt out on creating in a box (of cards lol)  I needed a change, and with much thought and discovery, I have decided to venture out.    I am not quitting Stampin' Up!   just not focusing on it the same way I was.  I will still have my monthly club ( email me if you would like to take part in it, I am taking sign ups now) and will have cards classes through out the year.  I am hoping (planning) on this allowing me to love stamping again and return me to when I did it because I love it.
Enters my new blog....
Please join me on this journey where I will be making much more then stamped cards and creating who I am.  I still plan to post on here when I have had a stamp event, which will be one or two times a month.  And I will send you guys sneaks of what I am doing in my creative space(hence the overwhelming picture above)  I have big plans for my studio, and hope over the next year it will transform into a space that helps me create.
So before I go, check out my new blog, the latest post and subscribe.

If you are on instagram be sure to follow me- lavenderlaceandlemonade .
I will be share creativity soon!

Creative Blog Hop

I am so excited to be part of this weeks blog hop! Thank you so much Amy Bollman for nominating me. I have been out of the stamping loop for a bit lately.  Busy working and taking care of the kiddos, but I have been creating a few things out of the box for me they are much more sweet and simple then I usually do.  Here a few of the projects I have been working on for the holidays...

I love everything chalkboard, always have.  So when Stampin' Up! came up with this adorable chalkboard banner a bought a bunch.  I love the simplicity of this banner and the pop of color these pom-pons add!

Who doesn't love mason jars, I swear I have a slight problem when it comes to "collecting" jars.  I found this adorable vintage style firetruck and had to make up a cute little jar.

To add to my simple decor this year I decided to sick with the rustic feel.  I stenciled a few of these cute plaques and made up this star to sit on my buffet.

As part of the blog hop I need to answer a few questions!
1.  What are you working on?
This time of year I tend to slow down on the creating.  I usually get so busy with work around thanksgiving time that I am burnt out in december.  So I take some time to hang out with my family.  I do however have a Christmas party for my downline and club members on Friday.  So currently I am working on a few things for them to make there.

2.  How does your work differ from others in your genre?
I feel I have a wide range in my style.  And it definalty changes and grows with the ways styles change.  I love trends and since I work in the design world, they tend to flow into my crafts as well.  I don't know if I would say my style is different, as much as I would say it is eclectic.

3.  Why do you create what you do?
There are a few reasons I create.  First one is for me, I love it, it makes me happy and keeps me sane...as long as I have time to do it. The other reason is to share with others.  I enjoy so much when people who think they aren't creative come to a class and realize they are.

4.  How does your creative process work?
It's a bit messy...literally.  I have to have a clean spot to start, so I usually end up cleaning up my entire craft room first.  I get distracted easily, so having a messy space doesn't work for me.  I turn on TV and shut the door!  By the end of my project you would think a tornado or two had come through here!
I am going to nominate:
This is my mom, she is a loving and caring and amazing mother and grandmother.  She is also very creative!  Although our styles are very different, she is a clean and simple girl.  Can't wait to see what she post on the 15th!

Here is my second sample with this adorable set.  I used the StazOn jet black ink and stamped all of my images.  With the aqua painter and Lost Lagoon Classic ink I water colored the sky.  I added a few details colored in with the Old Olive marker.  Popped up the little snowman in the corner and added some sequins for sparkle!
