Thanksgiving Dinner

I know it has been a while since I posted, but hopefully this will be the last time I am saying that! As much as I love blogging, sometimes it is so hard to get to!
So anyways! On to blogging! I do realize it is the first day of December, and although I had a goal to get ALL of my thanksgiving/fall stuff out to you by yesterday...it just didn't happen:)
We had Thanksgiving dinner at out house this year. Here are some pictures of the table and settings. I know I know you can see my washer and dryer! Due to the amount of guest I had to set up shop in the garage. It is pretty much converted into a room, so it wasn't so bad:)
For the table settings, I "gilded" pears with Wilton gold shimmer~so you could still eat them. Added a die cut wood leaf a bit of sponging and shimmer to it, and tied it on with linen thread. It was great having everyone over. I love entertaining.

Happy Turkey Day!!!!

So this Thanksgiving is at our house...and you are probably wondering why I am posting and not running around like a chicken or should I say Turkey with her head cut off. I have been out of the blogging world for almost three weeks, due to surgery and then playing catch up on life. So I figured I could at least say Happy Thanksgiving! Plus I will have 20 people at my house in a few hours and I am totally calm!
So on to stamping! Here are the invites I came up with for my dinner. And here is the turkey up close. This is not my original idea, I saw it here at Lynn Pratt's blog. http://stampndesign.blogspot.com/2010/11/punch-art-cooked-turkey.html
hanks for stopping by and great Thanksgiving!

Cards from Parks and Rec

So here are the cards that I came up with for parks and Rec this time around. They had requested a Birthday and Anniversary, and I figure a Thanksgiving wouldn't hurt! I really like the simplicity of this card. All the stamped images are garden green, I just stamped off to create the different tones in the leaves and words.
Here is the birthday card. This is the on a pedestal set. It is a great set with almost any color combo.
And this set is retired, I just don't have the heart to get rid of it! I just love it!

October 3-D Stamp Club project

I had fun making this months 3-D project. I didn't think this picture showed it great so that's why the one below is at a little different angle. The leaves are "crunched" then spritzed with gold shimmer and I used sticky strip to adhere it to the glass. Added a little twine and a grateful tag. Perfect as a hostess gift with a little candle inside.

Club Hostess Gifts

So for each of my club members, each time around I make them a "hostess" gift. I used to make it each month for each hostess. Well due to lack of time in my life :0 they weren't always "equal" in thought or effort. So I decided I was going to do them all at the same time. That way everyone got one at the same time with the same effort. Here is what I came up with this time around! The are organizers of a sort. Made from the play date file folders. Above is a picture of three of them...sorry it isn't the greatest picture. I sort of forgot to take one and had to ask a few of the club members to barrow it for a minute.
Here is Sandy's up close. I put there initial in the center of the flower with just perfect alphabet.

And here is the inside. A small notebook, two pockets, post-its and a small envelope. The ribbon that ties it shut also is used to hold the pencil or pen in the center.

October Stamp Club project

We had a great club meeting last month! Here is the card and scrapbook page we made. I used the set with gratitude. At first I struggled with making this medallion stand out the way I wanted it to. But a little ink, versa mark, embossing powder then sponging over and there you go! I really fell in love with the other stamps in this set the more I used it. I am sure you will see it again as Thanksgiving approaches!

Pumpkin Patch

Happy Halloween!!!!Here are the kids somewhat posing for a picture at our local pumpkin patch.
Here is Kamili and Makai going down the big slide. It took Kai a little bit to get up there, but once she did it was well worth it!

And the whole family. This is the best picture you can get with three little kids. I am shocked they are even looking the same direction:)

Special Halloween Card

I try very hard to send my Grandma a card/letter once a month. I wish I did it more often, but I admit I don't even always keep true on that commitment. She lives in Wisconsin and I don't see her nearly as much as I should. But when it comes to Halloween, it being one of my favorites, it is probably her least. So I wanted to be wise about the card I made her. Because whats the point in sending a card to someone if they don't like it?!?(I did fill it with pictures of the kiddos, so I couldn't really go wrong) Anyways I picked this cute little witch from Greeting card kids. This is such a fun set if you like to watercolor. I am sure you will see more of it for Christmas and Valentines Day:) Here she is close up. I used primarily perfect plum for her dress and peach parfait for the pumpkin, and those are the same colors I accented with in the dsp and the scallop edge.
Thanks for looking!

Disneyland

Who doesn't love Disneyland?(ok besides my husband) Put aside the long lines, crazy expensive food and war of main street when the fireworks are on, and well, it's the happiest place on earth:) So I took the kids with my mom and sister and her kids last week. It was a blast! I love Disneyland's decorations for Halloween(go figure, right?) So cute...Check out the Haunted Mansion. And the entrance. I can't get past all the great details they add! Wouldn't that be fun to work there and design all that stuff!
Here are the kiddos posing on the "L" in front of California Disney
And my mom taking Kai on the bumper cars in the Bugs World and Cal. DisneyI can't exactly tell you what this is these kids are so crazy:)Jenee with Mara
And my little Zav-Zav...I just want to eat him up!

It was a great day. Me and the girls are going back in a few weeks for a friends birthday. They can't wait!
